To serve is not to follow, but to lead.
Need on one side, resource on the other,
Like a child here and there is the mother.
Service joins them in a natural way,
This coming together is a good play.
To provide the right service needs fine care,
Which at certain times and places is rare.
The surest way to offer good service,
Is fine attention without being nervous.
If care is not given, pressures will mount,
The focus then slips from quality to count.
Fine service is a form of sacrifice,
One offers talent without any price.
Service with love, obstacles fall away,
Server and served are then happy to play.
Work with service as its guiding spirit,
Those who benefit are grateful for it.
First for your team, serve their need,
Then you are ready to begin to lead.
Simple service is one to another,
Like giving to your sister or brother.
A real way for the fulfilment of life,
Serving others even in time of strife.
Power comes from the Spirit naturally,
It should be used to serve humanity.
