I hear you pray
both day and night,
eager to end pain
and make things right
I watch you hide
behind the screen,
shoulders hunched
feeling unseen
I feel you ache
for those you miss
to soldiers lost…
to your first kiss
I taste your fear
in tears you shed
for all you mourn
and left unsaid
I smell your struggle
in the sweat of skin
the need to control
weighs heavy like sin
But you have a choice —
you always do,
to hold onto fear
or bid it adieu
Fear keeps friends
with Blame and Anger
keeping you from
Faith’s steadfast answer
The Universe conspires
on your behalf
when you trust
(despite feeling somewhat daft)
Faith is a sigh
a falling back
with arms akimbo
seeing life devoid of lack
