Reconnecting around mental health and wellbeing on World Values Day
By Claire Farrow
Connection is such a huge part of wellbeing at work. So, it’s a happy coincidence that the 4th annual MADWorld Summit on 21st October coincides with World Values Day 2021.
Wherever you are on the workplace wellbeing journey, the agenda for this year’s MADWorld Summit has been designed to bring together employers from a range of sectors, in-person – to reconnect, cut through the noise and define the way forwards in our Covid-impacted world of work.
What’s different at this year’s MADWorld Summit
The pandemic has turbo-charged interest in workplace mental health and wellbeing, accelerating innovation and bringing a host of fresh voices to the conversation. We’ve stepped up to the Covid challenge with:
Fresh case studies – showcasing insights into how forward-thinking employers have approached supporting workplace mental health and wellbeing over the past 18 months, which initiatives have really made a difference with diverse workforces in a range of work environments, and how they are preparing for the future. Including input from Aldi UK, Aviva, Talk Talk, Netflix, Highways England, SNC Lavalin Atkins, DFS, Tesco and more.
Pioneering keynotes – inspiring and empowering everyone who’s driving this agenda to seize the opportunity and embrace Covid as a catalyst to reinvent ways of working that enhance mental health and wellbeing. Including input from Virgin Atlantic’s Chief People Officer, Dame Carol Black, Dr Richard Heron from BP and more.
More interactive roundtables, workshops and masterclasses to drill down into issues and find answers to your specific questions – from social wellbeing in the hybrid world of work to self-harm in the workplace. You can find more details here.
An emphasis on inclusion because Covid has reinforced the need to have diversity, equality, inclusion and belonging at the forefront of workplace mental health initiatives year-round.
Adapting to new workplace realities – the mass shift to working from home has been dubbed the world’s biggest psychological experiment. Through a conversation with Tesco’s Dhavani Bishop, and right across the agenda, we’ll highlight practical tips for employers grappling with how to support wellbeing in a hybrid or blended world of work.
Covid safe arrangements – many are desperate to meet in-person. Others are more anxious about the prospect. To put your minds at rest, we’ll ensure everyone’s preferences are respected and official guidelines are followed. The venue COVID-19 safety plans are outlined here.
The MADWorld experience you can rely on
When you’re surrounded by change, it’s good to know there are constants in our MAD World:
As always, we’re at the leading edge of the workplace mental health and wellbeing agenda – through the case studies, keynotes and TechTalk, we keep you one step ahead of the latest developments in inclusive, preventative, personalised approaches to workplace wellbeing.
A great meeting of minds – the Summit is now firmly established as the go-to event if you want to hear from leaders who are driving the workplace wellbeing agenda. This year is no exception with input confirmed from Peter Cheese, Chief Executive, CIPD, Amanda Mackenzie, Chief Executive, Business in the Community, Gregor Henderson, former Director for Mental Health at Public Health England and Elisha London, Founder & Advisor to the Board, United for Global Mental Health.
A dynamic schedule with lots to choose from and something for everybody – from breakfast briefings in the morning through to the closing keynotes. In fact, with parallel tracks and multiple roundtables and workshops, it makes sense to tell your colleagues and book a group pass.
A melting pot of ideas – bringing together SMEs to FTSE 100 companies and employers from across sectors, representing an array of job titles so you can get practical insights to take back, adapt and share across your organisation.
The place to compare solutions – make the most of your time with 30 suppliers of work culture, mental health and wellbeing solutions under one roof.
Clear calls to action at the end of every session – because MADWorld isn’t just about inspiration and collaboration, it’s also about turning insight into action
An infectious, positive energy – which leaves attendees fired-up and raring to go. As our co-founder Mark Pigou says: “There is no Summit like MADWorld”.
Above all, there will be plenty of opportunities for connecting and reconnecting with like-minded peers from across sectors.
